Lumenato is an advanced yellow tomato extract, sourced from a unique yellow tomato breed that features phytoene and phytofluene.
Phytoene and phytofluene are rare carotenoids that protect the skin from UVB radiation.
The ingredient enhances skin health by supporting collagen, ceramides, and skin barrier function, as demonstrated in multiple pre-clinical and clinical trials.
It is available in powder, extract, and liquid emulsion formats, and offers flexibility for various applications, including nutricosmetics.
Each format provides consistent nutrient levels for reliable skin support and is verified as a non-gene-modified-organism (non-GMO) product.
The EFSA approval confirms Lumenato’s safety as a novel food, expanding its potential for inclusion in skin health solutions worldwide.
It allows brands to incorporate unique ingredients into their product offerings and explore new product developments while awaiting the EU Novel Food list update.
