NuTek Natural Ingredients Pledges Support for the FDA’s New Guidance on Potassium Salt Labelling

NuTek Natural Ingredients has pledged support for the FDA’s new guidance. NuTek has been working for this change including their initiative in 2016 with the filing of a Citizen’s Petition to encourage the change to support sodium reduction in food products with a balance of potassium salt. Several food manufacturers also pledged support of this initiative to provide healthier food options to consumers while giving transparency in ingredient labelling. The FDA draft guidance considered, in part, the NuTek Citizen’s Petition.
