We Store Frozen has announced a significant $15m, three-year agreement with H-E-B and Walmart, marking a major step in its expansion into the frozen fruits and vegetables sector.

The deal involves over 7,000 pallet positions for the storage and distribution of frozen produce, strengthening the company’s position as a cold storage provider in Texas.

The agreement not only enhances We Store Frozen’s storage services but also expands its frozen transportation capabilities.

The company will manage end-to-end transportation between processing facilities and its cold storage centres, ensuring temperature-controlled logistics for both H-E-B and Walmart.

To meet the rising demand for cold storage and frozen food imports from Mexico, We Store Frozen is constructing a new $40m facility in Laredo, Texas, near the US-Mexico border.

The 180,000ft2 campus with 100,000ft2 of frozen storage will facilitate high-volume import and distribution of frozen fruits, vegetables, and proteins from Mexico and Latin America.
