MegaFood, a certified B Corporation developing planet-first vitamins and minerals, has launched Omega 3-6-9, a plant-powered complex.

Omega 3-6-9 combines key 3-6-9 fatty acids and 600mg of Omega-3 to support the heart, brain, vision, and joints.

The complex combines farm traceable Ahiflower and fish-free algae oil, sourced with environmental sustainability in focus.

MegaFood has designed the product to ensure minimal disruption to marine ecosystems.

It has also been enhanced with organic lemon oil coating and infusion to provide a burp-less experience and reduced aftertaste.

The US-based vitamin and mineral company is presenting Omega 3-6-9 as a vegan substitute for fish oil, with the same benefits without the environmental impact.

MegaFood’s product is designed to offer a superior taste compared to many traditional Omega-3 supplements.

Unlike typical Omega products, which often result in unpleasant fishy burps and tastes, Omega 3-6-9 undergoes careful processing to minimise oxidation, resulting in a more palatable oil.

Additionally, its delayed-release capsule reduces burps, while a lemon oil coating helps minimise aftertaste.

Furthermore, the product is free from mercury, and PCB, and tested for over 150 pesticides, said the company.

It’s also Non-GMO Project Verified, gluten-free, and crafted without nine common food allergens, including milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, fish, shellfish, and sesame, MegaFood claimed.

MegaFood sustainability and social impact director Stacia Betley said: “I’m excited by this product as it’s a plant-based alternative to fish oil and shifting to plant-rich diets is a top climate solution that we can all engage in.

“By using fish-free algae oil, we are making plant-based alternatives more available and are supporting a healthier marine ecosystem.

“Our new plant-powered Omega 3-6-9 complex is grown and sourced with people and the planet in mind, sourced from fellow B-corp, Ahiflower.”

Omega 3-6-9 is now available on the company’s website and on Amazon.
