Saudi Arabia-based Tanmiah Food Company has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with US-based Griffith Foods and Poulta during the Saudi-US Investment Forum in Riyadh.

The MoU with Griffith Foods focuses on establishing a production and R&D facility in Saudi Arabia dedicated to halal food ingredients such as sauces and spice blends.

It supports local manufacturing, making Saudi Arabia a regional hub for halal ingredient production, in line with the industry’s shift towards ethical sourcing and sustainability.

Through the partnership with Poulta, an agricultural technology company, Tanmiah aims to digitise its poultry production chain.

The collaboration will introduce advanced technologies, including the Internet of Things and big data, to automate Tanmiah’s farms.

The joint venture will also establish an R&D centre in Saudi Arabia to drive agri-tech innovation across the region.

Tanmiah Food Company chairman Amr Al-Dabbagh said: “These strategic partnerships reflect our long-term vision to place Saudi Arabia at the heart of global halal food innovation.

“By joining forces with trusted international partners, we are creating a future where sustainable, healthy, halal food production, advanced technology, and local expertise collaborate to serve the region.”

Through the collaborations, Tanmiah aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs and carbon emissions, and improve animal welfare through this partnership.

The integration of data-driven decision-making and automation is expected to elevate the delivery of healthy halal food across its business segments.

Founded in 1962, Tanmiah operates through an integrated business model that encompasses production, processing, and distribution.

The company provides fresh poultry, processed proteins, animal feed, and health products in the Middle East, including in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

Its agreements with US companies align with the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to enhance local capabilities and promote global partnerships to drive economic diversification.

Tanmiah Food Company group CEO Zulfiqar Hamadani said: “At Tanmiah, we see innovation and sustainability as inseparable.

“Through these agreements, we are accelerating our journey toward intelligent, data-driven operations that not only improve efficiency and animal welfare but also strengthen our ability to deliver high-quality, sustainable, healthy, halal food in line with the evolving consumer expectations.”
