Kraft Heinz-owned Kraft Mac & Cheese has introduced a limited-run Apple Pie flavour in the US ahead of Friendsgiving and Thanksgiving.
The variant pairs Kraft Mac & Cheese’s creamy pasta with cinnamon and tart green apple notes associated with traditional apple pie.
To unveil the product, the group has teamed up with actor Jason Biggs, recognised for his role in the American Pie movie franchise.
Biggs said: “Kraft Mac & Cheese Apple Pie flavour is daring yet delicious, and is bound to be the talk of the Thanksgiving table this year.
“I love that no matter your age, mac & cheese and apple pie are both Thanksgiving favourites that bring everyone together.”
The company described the collaboration as “just as unexpected as the flavour pairing,” adding that Biggs draws on his “legendary pie persona” to present the launch.
Kraft Mac & Cheese said sweet–savoury pairings remain a steady trend, citing combinations such as apple and cheese as continued consumer favourites.
The apple pie flavour has been positioned to tap this interest by offering a blend that aims to feel both familiar and exploratory, the group explained.
Kraft Mac & Cheese communications director Cheryl Barbee said: “This holiday season, we wanted to create a memorable experience for mac & cheese fans that felt as unexpected as this flavour pairing.
“The new apple pie flavour rounds out our flavour innovations for 2025 with its nostalgic blend of classic Thanksgiving dishes and bold flavour, marking the beginning of more shockingly delicious innovations to come from the brand.”
