US-based frozen fry brand Frites Street has teamed up with Colombia-based Del Llano Farms to become the country’s first fry manufacturer to use 100% seedless oil.

Under the partnership, Frites Street will use the seedless oil for preparing its fries and offer it to culinary customers for use in commercial kitchens.

Its fries, which are already non-GMO, vegan, kosher, and gluten-free, will now also be 100% seed oil-free.

Also, the company will exclusively use Del Llano Farms’ Tropical High Oleic Oil for its Belgian-style fries, enhancing its clean-label offerings.

The move aligns with the trend of seeking healthier alternatives to traditional seed oils.

Frites Street founder Flip Isard said: “Frites Street’s mission has always been to give professional chefs the highest quality fry that does not cut corners and goes beyond the potato, and this partnership with Del Llano Farms for seedless oil helps us achieve that promise.

“Using seedless oil from Del Llano Farms allows us to level up and innovate responsibly from start to finish.

“From our sourcing to our processes, our customers can feel confident they are receiving the best fries that are healthier and taste great, while also respecting the planet.”

Del Llano Farms, a leading producer of non-GMO, RSPO-certified, high oleic olein oil, operates from Colombia, South America.

The farm’s seedless oils are rich in heart-healthy oleic acid and natural antioxidants, making them a preferred choice for chefs focused on clean-label menus.

Del Llano Farms’ regenerative farming practices are certified by RSPO and ISCC.

The farm is energy independent, using renewable biomass and methane capture systems, contributing to its carbon-negative status.

Arizona-based S&K Oil Sales, the North American distributor for Del Llano Farms, played a pivotal role in introducing the seedless oil to Frites Street.

The Herrera family, owners of Del Llano Farms, have been cultivating tropical fruit in Eastern Llanos since the 1960s, ensuring sustainable practices and a stable habitat for wildlife.

Del Llano Farms CEO Roberto Herrera said: “Seedless oil is quickly gaining popularity thanks to its health benefits and superior taste with no chemicals and no shortcuts.

“Del Llano Farms has made a long-term commitment to regenerative agriculture and is committed to sustainability and transparency for our customers, and the public.”
