Florida Food Products (FFP) has expanded its clean-label ingredient supply chain with the introduction of a new Spinning Cone Column (SCC) at its Indianapolis facility.

The advanced extraction technology preserves the natural flavour, aroma, and beneficial components of tea, botanicals, and coffee.

It is the company’s third SCC system and the first outside Florida, significantly enhancing its manufacturing capacity and boosting geographic diversification and supply chain continuity.

The launch of the SCC system was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Indiana Governor Mike Braun, FFP team members, and Board members.

Indiana Governor Mike Braun said: “We welcome companies like FFP that bring a strong partnership and opportunity to Indiana.

“This investment not only fuels job creation, it also reinforces Indiana’s role in delivering trusted, American-made products that consumers increasingly demand.”

The SCC technology supports the production of high-potency, clean-label ingredients, meeting the growing consumer demand for transparency and authenticity.

The Indianapolis facility, spanning 240,000ft2, is GFSI-certified under the SQF programme and Kosher-compliant, further enhancing FFP’s reputation for safe and consistent ingredient production.

In addition to the launch, FFP hosted Max Engling, Regional Director for US Senator Jim Banks, for a plant tour and discussions on its manufacturing capabilities and economic impact.

US Congressman André Carson also issued a formal proclamation recognising FFP’s investment and contribution to Indiana’s clean label ingredient sector.

FFP COO Ken Simone said: “We’re proud to deepen our roots in Indiana. Since launching operations here in 2022, we’ve more than doubled our workforce and added skilled positions to support the new spinning cone column.

“We look forward to continuing that momentum by creating additional high-paying jobs as our expansion progresses.”

Established in 1954, FFP is a leading natural ingredient supplier, offering a diverse portfolio that includes natural flavours, coffee, tea, botanical extracts, functional nutrition, and more.

The company operates four advanced facilities across the US, partnering with food brands, manufacturers, and foodservice operators.

Its products enhance taste, texture, shelf life, moisture, and colour in various applications.

FFP CEO Vince Macciocchi said: “This expansion reflects our commitment to delivering superior-quality ingredients with speed, consistency, and care.

“By investing in Indianapolis, we’re not only increasing our capacity and responsiveness for customers, we’re reinforcing our promise to make clean label ingredients more accessible across the US and internationally.”
