Amplifye, a biotechnology company focused on protein nutrition, has launched its first consumer product, AmplifyeP24, to enhance protein absorption.
The capsule, taken once daily with the largest meal, can double protein absorption by breaking down proteins into bioavailable peptides and essential amino acids.
AmplifyeP24 works with any protein source, including meat, plant, or supplements.
It enhances protein bioavailability, offering benefits such as improved muscle recovery, deeper sleep, digestive comfort, better gut health, and sustained energy.
The product caters to a wide audience, from athletes to individuals with digestive issues and women in perimenopause seeking increased protein intake.
AmplifyeP24 leverages Amplifye’s exclusive enzyme, P24, which is part of a precision enzyme platform designed to optimise human nutrition.
The platform also aims to transform underutilised protein sources, contributing to sustainability in food, animal feed, aquaculture, and health markets.
Amplifye CEO John Melo said: “Protein is one of the most essential nutrients we consume, yet much of it goes unused by the body.
“AmplifyeP24 unlocks the full potential of the protein you already consume, doubling absorption for measurable improvements in performance, recovery, and wellness.
“Backed by extensive research, third-party lab testing, and rigorous scientific development, this breakthrough in nutrition delivers noticeable results quickly.”
Amplifye recently secured $18.5m in Series A funding, led by Magdalena, with participation from UC Investments and Astanor Ventures, to advance its precision enzyme platform.
Amplifye will use the funding to develop and market enzyme-based solutions.
With the introduction of AmplifyeP24, Amplifye aims to revolutionise protein nutrition.
The company plans to expand its range of enzyme-based products using its unique platform to meet diverse nutritional needs and foster innovation in health and sustainability.
Amplifye co-founder and chief commercial officer Courtney McHugh said: “We didn’t just develop a product, we discovered a completely new enzyme with extraordinary properties.
“The enzyme is built on years of research in enzymology and was inspired by foundational principles recognised with the Nobel Prize in 2024. This discovery allows us to solve a long-standing protein digestion and bioavailability challenge.”
