Garlic from China, hibiscus from Sudan and sage from Albania are just a fraction of what you'll taste and smell in Kräuter Mix's production and storage facilities. Family owned since 1919, its 330 employees process top-quality herbal materials for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
At Kräuter Mix, the name says it all. The spectrum of materials handled by the company encompasses everything from dried vegetables, culinary herbs and spices through to pharmaceutical ingredients and medicinal, herbal and fruit teas. Over the course of nearly 100 years, Kräuter Mix has developed from a small herbalist to a global operation with recent record sales of €111 million, and is currently enlarging its production and storage facilities to enable orders from customers worldwide to be processed even more rapidly.
Kräuter Mix not only procures raw materials from suppliers around the globe but also delivers finished products to 70 countries. Many of the products it refines can be found in well-known pharmaceutical products and foodstuffs, and its high-profile customers include Unilever, Nestlé, Mondelez and Twinings.
Kräuter Mix is particularly committed to combining economic performance with ecological responsibility and social justice and, to this end, has been working on various international sustainability projects. In Egypt, for example, where it is involved with improving soil quality in the desert to enable the cultivation of herbs, fertile farmland for growing marjoram and basil has been created.
