US-based food company Kraft Heinz Foods (Heinz) has introduced a new range of mayonnaise-style sauces in Canada, catering to the nation’s love for condiments.
The new range of sauces, offered in four flavours: Smoky Bacon, Garlic Parmesan, Mango Habanero, and Pickle, enhances options for at-home meals.
Heinz said the new offerings address the limited availability of flavoured mayonnaise options, which leads Canadians to mix mayo with other sauces.
The new sauces offer flavourful combinations ready for dipping, complementing popular dippable foods such as fries, chicken tenders, and onion rings, said Heinz.
Kraft Heinz Canada innovation head Jenna Zylber said: “At Heinz, we know that Canadians crave bold and delicious flavours, and we’re thrilled to introduce our new lineup of Heinz Mayonnaise-Style Sauces to shake up the mayo category and give Canadians more exciting dipping options.
“As a brand, Heinz has been a staple for Canadian households for generations and we’re proud to expand our portfolio with delicious new options that are so irresistible, you won’t be able to stop at just one dip!”
In a separate development, Oscar Mayer, part of Kraft Heinz, has launched the EveryBun pack, featuring both traditional and plant-based hot dogs.
The EveryBun pack includes eight hot dogs and four plant-based Not Hot Dogs, catering to diverse dietary preferences without cross-contamination.
Oscar Mayer brand manager Anna James said: “As a brand obsessed with hot dogs, summer is our most important season, and we understand that not everyone can enjoy our iconic Oscar Mayer Wieners.
“With plant-based eating becoming more popular, we wanted to provide one easy, delicious solution for all, no matter what’s in the bun.”
Earlier this year, Heinz launched ‘The Flavour Tour’ line of condiments, comprising three sauces inspired by cuisines from around the world.
The sauces with a unique fusion of flavour include Mexican-inspired street corn, Korean-inspired sweet and tangy BBQ, and Thai-inspired sweet chilli.
