Arizona-based Wisdom Natural Brands, the parent company of SweetLeaf Stevia Sweetener, has developed three new flavours of liquid stevia.
The new flavours, an addition to the company’s zero-calorie, zero-carbohydrate, zero glycemic index SweetLeaf Liquid Stevia product line, include Coconut, Watermelon and Cola.
The company claims that the new products are made with USDA certified organic stevia leaf extract and natural flavours.
According to Wisdon Natural Brands, these SweetLeaf Liquid Stevia drops, when added to foods or beverages such as yogurt, oatmeal, water, coffee, sauces and smoothies, gives flavour without calories or carbohydrates.
For instance, Cola flavour can be added to sparkling water to create a healthier soda, while adding Watermelon in yogurt gives a fruit twist and Coconut flavor be added to coffee, the company said.
With the introduction of these new flavors, the total number of flavours in the product line comes to 17.
The US company’s three new liquid stevia flavours will be available online at buywisdom.com on 1 May 2011, and will be released for supermarket and natural foods store shelves in June this year.
The stevia manufacturer’s all 17 flavours of SweetLeaf Liquid Stevia are packaged in easy-to-use dropper bottles, with a 59.1470ml bottle, providing an average of 288 servings.
The other flavours in the company’s SweetLeaf Liquid Stevia portfolio include Lemon Drop, Valencia Orange, Berry, Chocolate Raspberry, English Toffee, Vanilla Crème, Hazelnut, Peppermint, Root Beer, Grape, Apricot Nectar, Chocolate, Cinnamon, and SteviaClear.
In November last year, Wisdom Natural Brands introduced SugarLeaf, a new lowcalorie sweetener for baking and cooking.
The product was aimed at meeting the demands of growing health-conscious consumers who plans to reduce sugar in their food and beverages.
