International natural ingredients company WILD Flavors has developed 'Strawberry Stars', a new range of natural strawberry flavours for use in fruit gums, milk cream fillings and ice cream, to its portfolio.

WILD Flavors product manager Birgit Braun said the new selection of strawberry flavours feature distinctive sensory profiles as consumers of different regions prefer different tastes.

"Thus, WILD can offer several strawberry varieties and can optimally serve different regional taste preferences. Another advantage is that WILD¹s new "Strawberry Stars" products comply with the trend towards natural flavors," Braun added.

Strawberry is said to be one of most important flavours for the confectionery industry.

In order to cater to the growing demand, the company developed five flavours for use in confectionery such as fruit gums.

The range also has four varieties available for ice cream, as Strawberry is believed to be the third most popular flavour ice cream market, following vanilla and chocolate.

Along with flavours for fruit gums and ice cream, the new range also includes four different strawberry flavors for milk cream fillings.

Headquartered in Erlanger, Kentucky, WILD Flavors is a manufacturer of flavours, colours, and health-conscious food and beverage ingredients.

The company has presence various countries across the globe, including US, Canada, China, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates.

In April 2012, the Swiss arm of the natural ingredients company has entered into an agreement to purchase Cargill's global juice cold blends and compounds business for an undisclosed amount.
