The company assumed that Parry and Valensa engaged in acts of infringement by making, using and selling its tomato lycopene products in the US.

The lawsuit was filed in US for infringement of patents including: 6,515,018, 5,837,311, and 5,965,183.

LycoRed president and CEO Morris Zelkha said Parry Nutraceuticals unlawfully leveraged its proprietary science to produce and market Tomato Lycopene Complex.

LycoRed is a manufacturer and supplier of natural carotenoids and nutritional ingredients including Lyc-O-Mato, a natural lycopene-rich tomato complex.
