17 February 2014

The Ingredion group of companies has presented its latest clean label innovations at CFIA Rennes 2014. Combining the best of National Starch and Corn Products International, the leading global ingredient solutions provider showcased its portfolio of nature-based clean label starches that can be used in a broad range of applications, such as dairy, bakery and savoury products.

Ingredion demonstrated how its cutting-edge technical support, culinary expertise, R&D, sensory science and market intelligence combine with its ingredient innovations to enable customers to keep ahead of trends. Technical experts were on hand to explain how Ingredion's capabilities in clean label address the key challenges that food manufacturers face.

Ingredion showcased recent launches including the NOVATION Endura™ series, an addition to the NOVATION range of clean label (no E number) starches. NOVATION Endura 0100 starch offers maximum stability and the ability to withstand higher cooking temperatures, enabling manufacturers to create a wider range of appealing food products without additives than ever before, including many savoury products, dairy desserts, fruit preparations, sauces and salad dressings.

Also highlighted was NOVATION® Indulge 1720 speciality starch, a clean label co-texturiser that replaces protein to enable lower overall ingredient costs, while delivering yoghurt products with an additive-free positioning.
