M2 Ingredients, a US-based functional mushroom grower and supplier, has launched a new range of full lifecycle mushroom extracts.

The range comprises LionXtract (Lion’s Mane), ReiExtract (Reishi), CordyExtract (Cordyceps), and Myco-Six (a blend of six mushrooms).

It was unveiled ahead of the company’s participation in SupplySide West & Food Ingredients North America, scheduled from 28 to 30 October in Las Vegas.

Established in 2010, M2 produces organically grown and clinically researched mushroom ingredients for global functional food and supplement manufacturers.

The extracts are produced under M2’s processing standards and carry certifications including USDA Organic, Non-GMO, Vegan, and Kosher, the group said.

According to M2, the new extracts are formulated through a proprietary extraction process that delivers bioactive compounds such as β-glucans and cordycepin.

The method is said to retain both the fruiting body and mycelium to preserve synergistic compounds for consistent functionality.

M2 said the products have a neutral flavour profile, making them suitable for use in beverages, wellness shots, gummies, and other functional formulations.

“This sensory refinement allows formulators to create products that taste great without compromising efficacy,” the company added.

M2 Ingredients chief science officer Julie Daoust said: “These extracts are every formulator’s dream.

“They dissolve easily, stay suspended longer, and maintain consistent bioactive content from batch to batch—all while offering a clean, mild taste that simplifies formulation and elevates the consumer experience.”

In a separate announcement, M2 appointed Scott Ravech as chair of the board.

Ravech, founder of Dietary Supplement Solutions and former CEO of Deerland Probiotics & Enzymes, brings over two decades of experience in the dietary supplement and functional ingredient sectors.
