Bell Flavors & Fragrances EMEAI has renamed its Ingredient Specialities business unit to Aroma Chemicals.

The US-based flavour and fragrance manufacturer said the move forms part of portfolio realignment centred on ingredients used in fragrance creation and flavour modulation.

The new name is intended to reflect the unit’s role in developing and producing chemical components for these applications.

The Aroma Chemicals portfolio covers a range of products including esters, citrus derivatives, ship bases and extracts, which are supplied for use across fragrance and flavour formulations.

Bell said the revised structure is designed to make the product range easier for customers to navigate and to support quicker identification of appropriate molecules.

Alongside the rebranding, the company is introducing new generations of “high-purity” esters.

These are used in areas such as confectionery, baked goods, household and personal care products, and pharmaceutical applications, where they can be used to mask or improve flavours.

Bell said the ongoing development of Aroma Chemicals is also linked to an increased focus on palm oil-free and organic alternatives, as well as the expansion of regional supply chains in Europe.

According to the company, these steps are intended to support long-term supply security and economic stability for partners operating in the flavour and fragrance sector.

Aroma Chemicals Manager Christin Ruckhaber said: “With Aroma Chemicals, we are creating a clear structure for our molecular portfolio and consistently aligning the business unit with the requirements of the market and application.

“The new ester generations show how we are further strengthening quality, sustainability and market proximity in this segment. Our customers benefit from reliable specifications, quick orientation and a portfolio that directly addresses current requirements.”
