ROHA is establishing itself as a major player in the food colouring industry due to its adaptability, and the effective and efficient colour solutions it provides for its clients.
As a brand that is synonymous with food colours, ROHA has proved itself to be a company on which customers can rely. Providing effective and efficient colour solutions while maintaining the highest standard of quality is what keeps it ahead of its market rivals. Driven by innovation and a thirst for excellence, ROHA maintains a special focus on application R&D. One of the company's mottos is 'Innovating for you. With you.'
"The motto reminds us to keep the needs of the market in the forefront of our minds, enabling us to adapt to changing market trends," explains ROHA's global natural colours CEO, Margit Lindermuth. "This guided us in developing our natural colour portfolio, Natracol, and to launch Futurals, a new brand of colouring foodstuffs that allow clean-label declaration."
The market is faced with the challenge of developing natural colours that will be stable, long-lasting and vibrant, while at the same time dealing with seasonal variations of shade, availability and, of course, price. ROHA's colour development addresses these challenges as the company strives to deliver quality, affordability and sustainability at every level.
Taking a service-oriented approach combined with a high level of technical expertise, ROHA develops tailor-made solutions that help even the most demanding customers achieve success.
"By focusing on the most difficult industries, such as beverages, confectionery and meat, our technical team continuously develops innovative solutions that can be applied to other industries as well," says Lindermuth. "We are always exploring the new possibilities of bringing colour inspired by nature to the marketplace."
ROHA is launching Futurals Sky Blue and Futurals Apple Green shades, which are based on spirulina. The bright, transparent, all natural spirulina-sourced blue and green colours are suitable for coatings, jellies, marshmallows and other confectionery applications.
The Futurals Watermelon shade is based on anthocyanin. It provides a natural, clean-label red colouring foodstuff that can replace carmine in confectionery, beverages, fruit preps for yogurt, ice cream, dairy and other applications.
ROHA's introduction of the Futurals Noble range of colouring foodstuffs provides a much-awaited non-bleeding line of shades for multilayered food products such as yogurts, cakes and desserts.
Another of the company's mottos is 'We value values'. Global director Mahesh Tibrewala strongly believes that the firm's success over the past four decades is due to its commitment to that philosophy. ROHA is on the threshold of taking a giant leap toward becoming the colour partner of choice for multinational customers in the food and beverage industry, and also beyond as it is positioned for growth in feed, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and other industries.
ROHA's commitment of $100 million towards global expansion and growth saw the opening of yet another plant in Europe with state-of-the-art facilities and technology to provide better colour solutions.
The company is also strengthening its position in the Middle East and Africa with the establishment of a production plant in Egypt. A highly qualified local team of food technicians with a focus on application and industry supports the market in its need for new and better colours.
Earlier this year, ROHA inaugurated a new production plant in Thailand that quadruples current capacity. The facility includes innovative production capabilities and a fully modernised lab designed to cater to the growing market in South-East Asia.
ROHA is establishing itself as an undisputed market leader in the food colouring industry with a strong presence in more than 130 countries. It continues to expand in other industries and categories, and has a bright and colourful future.
