KALL Ingredients' owner, Laszlo Karpati, is watching his vision turn into reality as the company's new corn-processing plant goes operational. "After several years' effort, everything is now together," he says. An established cooperation system with Hungarian farmers provides "outstanding non-GMO maize", while a committed group of highly qualified and vastly experienced people are ready to handle production; at a brand new factory equipped with the best and most modern technology.
A dedicated sales, logistic and customer service team will cater to the needs of users of isosugar, glucose, alcohol or feed products. "KALL Ingredients will be ready to satisfy its customers, no matter what they produce," says Karpati.
CEO Dr Vanda Zahola-Pollak credits his staff for getting his company to where it is today. "I strongly believe in that success is based on people," she states. "Any company can have the most appealing technology, shiny equipment and perfect processes; what makes the difference is the knowledge, practice and the attitude of its people.
"I'm proud of working with a unique team of experts with more than 200 years of manufacturing and management experience, and leading a staff of 400 well-educated, talented and dedicated colleagues. We share a vision and respect the same values.
"KALL is pursuing sustainable development with its partners and employees. It is a growing company with a mission of supporting its customers' business needs by the delivery of high-quality, individually developed products and outstanding services."
Dr Timea Kovac, QHSE director, stresses her company's commitment to excellence, the needs of its customers and to fulfilling the market's demand for high-quality products and services. "KALL's goal is to satisfy the requirements by strict specification of the parameters of our products and our manufacturing processes, as well as by quality-oriented supervision to ensure that such requirements are met," she explains.
The company continuously checks, tests and examines deliveries of raw materials and finished products, thereby guaranteeing the traceability and documentation of every single manufacturing lot.
"Ensuring its commitment towards food and feed safety as well as quality, the company operates ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, BRC7, IFS and EFISC systems. That's how it respects partners' goals and requirements," says Kovac.
Sales and marketing director Istvan Madacsi, meanwhile, points out that KALL's new annual processing capacity of 0.5 million tons of non-GMO maize will make it one of the biggest corn processor companies in Europe, before going on to outline some of its other goals.
"Besides the HFCS production and a wide product portfolio from liquid starch products, the high-purity neutral alcohols are also part of KALL's core business," he notes. "KALL will also provide raw material of corn oil production and GMO-free feed products to foraging.
However, the main aim is not only to produce and trade different starch derivatives and by-products but also, as a newcomer to the market, to introduce a completely new type of service. KALL aims to achieve and maintain complete customer satisfaction, with strict focus on the importance of quality, customer-specific needs and product formulation."
