Conscious nutrition is associated with an increase in the health and quality of life for more people. This growing relevance in society also drives the decision-makers at CG Pharma & Nutrition (P&N), the innovative business unit of Germany-based CG Chemikalien, headquartered in Laatzen near Hanover. Its forward-looking manner closely aligns with the needs of customers and consumers.
In view of the increased quality requirements for food, P&N consciously pursues future-oriented paths. Many opportunities have arisen, thanks to a new storage and repacking area for pharmaceutical products, nutritional supplements and food additives. "We have always stood for safety, quality, reliability and sustainability. In fact, satisfied customers have encouraged us to take the next step with the new building complex," says Dirk Ehlers, P&N's head of sales international. "Their trust in our work is the ideal incentive for continuous optimisation and further development."
P&N's broad portfolio consists of around 500 raw materials that are stocked for the food and beverage industry. It demands professional conditions that provide the highest quality and support excellent customer service. Subsequently, the new building was constructed with due care. It enables the consistent separation of products for the pharmaceutical industry, food additives and feed additives.
Storage, mixing and filling take place in an environment where constant temperatures are guaranteed - even for particularly sensitive components and products. The expansion of P&N's portfolio, and its team's new capabilities, help to meet a wide range of customer needs with the greatest possible flexibility.
The focus of P&N is on mineral salts and mineral compounds of:
The company's performance capabilities include:
Full transparency and regular certification are important to P&N. All raw materials are subject to batch management and can be tracked consistently, from production to delivery to the end customer. Upon receipt, all additives are analysed, according to a detailed inspection plan, in a modern analytical laboratory before being put into storage and released.
"Our products are stored, filled and transported in accordance with the relevant regulations under hazard analysis and critical control point conditions," explains Ehlers.
The portfolio's range has been sufficiently increased to meet the requirements of halal and kosher (passover) products. P&N maintains a continuous dialogue with renowned certification companies, Halal Quality Control (HQC) and STAR-K. HQC is officially on the Indonesian Ulama Council list and has been registered with the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia (JAKIM) certification body. HQC and STAR-K have already approved more than 90 products from the P&N portfolio that meet all halal and kosher standards.
CG Chemikalien's high standards also apply to its P&N division. All work steps are carried out according to the principles of good manufacturing practice, and comply with all guidelines and quality assurance measures. Since August 2017, P&N has been awarded the manufacturing licence, according to section 13 of the German Medicinal Products Act.
